Caribe Nation,

Here are the top 7 mistakes I see my new swimmers making when learning how to breathe during the pull down stroke.

  1. Too late in pull

  2. Opening mouth too early

  3. Lifting way too high

  4. No recovery pulls between breath

  5. Head is up so body sinks down

  6. Don’t relax so much you don’t have enough momentum

  7. Believing we won’t be able to do it

Although these are common mistakes, they can easily be corrected with awareness, relaxation, and practice.

And if you want more help, I am launching the next 90 day learn to swim accelerator program starting June 1st.

BIG Love,

Coach Jeff
