How to Stand Up
4 Techniques... All of Them Perfect
Our new students begin learning to swim with their biggest fear being sinking.
But, with a few simple tips, that fear of sinking completely reverses…
And becomes a fear of standing up.
We transition from thinking we can never swim
To swimming so well, we don’t know how to get back down.
In this video, Coach Meredith will explain staying inside your ‘zone of comfort’, not pushing beyond your comfort zone, and then helping Brenda & Marshall learn how to stand up.
Watch Here: Standing Up is The Process & The Outcome
You will notice different standing-up techniques…
ALL OF THEM ARE PERFECT:
Example 1: ‘The Push Off’
Example 2: ‘The Confident Standup’
Example 3: ‘The Barely Touch’
Example 4: ‘The Just Sink’
AND… In the final example, you see me doing the following 3 steps:
Driving my arms to my waist
Shifting my legs underneath me
Pushing my legs to the bottom of the pool and lifting my head
ALL work perfectly.
Remember, our goal is to stand up.
Don’t worry so much about what it looks like…
Just…
Stand…
Up!…
