Caribe Nation,
Happy Sunday!
Earlier this week at our June 2026 retreat in San Juan, Michelle and Sonia arrived with something in common:
Neither could float.
But floating wasn't the real problem.
The real problem was trust.
Both were anxious in the water.
Both were trying to stay in control.
And when we don't trust the water, it's almost impossible to allow the water to support us.
Tension = Density.
Density = Sinking.
So we slowed down.
They followed a simple 3-step process.
There were ups.
There were downs.
And there were a lot of repetitions.
And then...
Something changed.
Their bodies relaxed.
The water started doing the work.
And for the first time, both women experienced what it feels like to truly float.
All inside a single swim class.
If you've ever struggled with floating, I think you're going to love this video.
The biggest lesson?
Learning to float is not about forcing a technique.
It's about learning to trust the water enough to release control.
Simple?
Yes.
Easy?
Not always.
Possible?
For everyone.
So here's my challenge to you:
The next time you practice floating, spend less time trying to force your body into position and more time asking:
"What would happen if I trusted the water a little more?"
You may be surprised by the answer.
I believe in you.
BIG Love,
Coach Jeff
