He's Military. He's moving to Hawaii, He Can't Swim...

Yesterday I met a man named Joshua.

He’s in the military and stationed in North Carolina. Quiet confidence. Kind energy.

But what he said next hit me hard:

“My wife just had our first baby. We’re moving to Hawaii in July… and neither of us can swim.”

He’s about to raise a family surrounded by water—on a literal island—and he’s carrying the weight of knowing he wouldn’t be able to help his newborn in an emergency.
